Monday was a day of final preparations. With all that had been done to this point, I seemed to be the most disorganized. But we were eventually packed and staged for takeoff.

Then the phone calls and texts began. Plane was oversold so AA was looking for people who could leave a day later. And with each minor change in the departure time, my seat assignment that was purchased with points kept getting moved further away from the rest of the group. Then the flight time was pushed back two hours which will make our train connections in Rome a challenge. We dodged storms on our way to DFW all is still good. We are at the airport:

Looks like this trip is really going to happen!
