Starting in Dalton was easy enough but rocky path and elevation changes made for a challenging hike.

We were rewarded with lunch by the shore of Gore Pond and scenic views at the Cobbles

Once off the trail our stay at the Harbor House B&B in Cheshire was relaxing and comfortable, preparing us for for another 8 miles that await on day two.
