We were ready for the rest and took full advantage of it. Our Hotel is centrally located on the Camino with a great view.

After meeting up with one from our original group and celebrating her birthday , we turned in early and slept late. There were a lot of new pilgrims starting in Sarria as we relaxed to a slow paced breakfast. Just as we were leaving another one of those chance encounters happened, a friend from Holland that we had not seen in several days walked up. It was a great reunion and one we hope plays out again.

We looked around Sarria a little then got down to business.

First came the rest. After a mid-day Sangria spiked with Scotch, it was nap time.
Second, I dropped Becky off for a hair appointment I had made earlier in the day using my best Spanish. I was then able to find an open church with candles and lit up the place

Then it was time to collect Becky with her mission now accomplished.

So after a successful stay in Sarria, tomorrow we start the last eight days to Santiago.
The town looks like a perfect place to relax. Glad you found the candles.
