After the profoundly sad experience of Peace Park, there was only one thing to do:

After our “spirit” adjustment, we found dinner and made our way back to the hotel taking in some of the lights they are preparing for the holiday season.

Our next activity was a ferry ride to Miyajima Island known for its iconic gate to the temple

Strolling from the ferry to the Shrine offered an opportunity to peruse a number shops and street vendors. We could not refuse Oysters on a Stick grilled and basted as we watched.

After a few pics around the temple,

We beaded toward the Ropeway that would take us toward the top of the island. The walk was beautiful.

Soon we were riding to the top of the island.

And once at the top, more breathtaking views.

Once back down, we encountered a photo opportunity that seemed like a good idea at the time.

Ending the day with a little shopping, another trip to the rooftop bar, and one last trip to the Onsen in the hotel, we readied ourselves for the trip to Osaka where Sumo and a Walking Food Tour awaits.

An end to our visit to Hiroshima would not be complete without wishing you all Peace.

Beautiful pictures. Great one of Becky. Wonderful to have friends make the trip with you. Definitely prayers for peace are needed as we move forward.
