We had an amazing week considering we had nothing planned. We started off by joining in on a Torta Tour with my language school.
First stop was the Triana Market where we played a game to gather photos:

Our team came in second place.

Then we were off to find the best Torta in Triana. Three stops, all were great and a lot of fun.

A few scenes from the day

And we ended the day with a beer before heading back.

Most of our time is spent wandering the city:
A little shopping

Seeing some sights

And finding new places to eat and relax

Watching some street performers

And the best of all was this guitarist that goes effortlessly from classical Spanish music to Dire Straights. See the videos below;
We were also able to work in a Spa Day complete with jacuzzi pool, roof top pool overlooking the Cathedral with champagne, hot and cold baths, a float in a salt water pool, topped off with a 45 minute massage. Unfortunately only the one picture:

But now it is all about getting ready for Semana Santa (Holy Week). Starting tomorrow, Palm Sunday, the parades will begin. Over 70 throughout Sevilla. And a good number will come down the street the walkway from our apartment feeds into. So with the crowds it is going to be crazy. The past week we have watched the city prepare

The churches are putting on display the Pasos that will be carried through the streets.

Our street Sierpes, is is a narrow shopping street and it will be a tight fit in some spots.

So with Semana Santa in the upcoming week, an excursion to Gibraltar the following week, and the week long Feria celebration following that, we are getting ready for a month that will be quite a change from the last.
What wonderful new experiences! Looking forward to pics from next week’s celebrations 😍

So much to see and do! Love the cat sweater! Good to see you at yoga yesterday. Vanessa sprained her ankle/foot a couple of weeks ago. I suggested an x-ray. Tweaked it a couple more times. Finally got an x-ray. There is a broken bone. She’ll be in a boot and on crutches.

This sat in draft for a few days when I replied to email, don’t know why. So, I’m posting here.
